RSDiag Terms of Use
Updated 8 October 2026.
1. Provider and product
RSDiag is provided by SIA CarContact, registration no. 40003334158, VAT no. LV40003334158, Rudens iela 3–38, Rīga, LV-1082, Latvia. Support: [email protected].
RSDiag provides diagnostics and ECU tools. Available features depend on the vehicle, ECU, software, platform and adapter. Check compatibility, the product offering and current-version restrictions before purchase. Some features require internet access, an account and a licence.
2. Licence
A licence is purchased with a one-time payment, without a fixed expiry, for a particular account. Live + Diag Pro covers all supported vehicles on that account. Flasher and OTS Stages cover the purchased VIN. Super includes Flasher and OTS for one VIN and account-wide Pro. Each compatible device must be activated while signed into the account.
VIN-specific licences cannot be transferred to another vehicle or owner. Account-wide Pro remains available for other supported vehicles used with that account. A new vehicle owner must buy their own licence. Any account email change, including correcting the address or losing access to the previous mailbox, requires a new purchase, subject to mandatory user rights. Contact support before changing the email.
An incorrectly entered purchase VIN can be corrected through support; this is not a transfer to another vehicle. The licence covers the purchased features and does not automatically include future separate products.
In app versions supporting offline activation, newly issued signed permissions permit offline use for up to 7 days after the last successful online licence check, limited by any licence expiry. Online validation renews this permission without another purchase. Revocation takes effect at the next validation or when the permission expires. An operation already writing an ECU and its required recovery are not interrupted by permission expiry. Older app versions keep their existing connectivity requirements; installing an update is required for the new offline mode.
3. Account and use
Provide accurate information, protect account access and work only on vehicles you are entitled to operate or service with the owner's permission. Bypassing access controls and unauthorised distribution of paid materials are prohibited, except where mandatory law permits them.
Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy; account deletion is explained on the deletion page.
4. Payment
The final price and taxes are shown before payment. Stripe processes website payments; confirmed purchases provide account-wide or VIN-specific access according to the product in the order. If charged without receiving access, contact support with your account email and order number.
5. Refunds
Consumers have statutory withdrawal rights, normally within 14 days, subject to legal exceptions. VIN binding does not itself remove this right. The request procedure, reimbursement rules and notice form are provided in the refund policy. Rights concerning defects or non-conformity continue after the withdrawal period.
6. Working with vehicles
Follow instructions, check compatibility, power and connection, and save the available backup before writing. A calibration backup is not a copy of all ECU memory. Do not interrupt power or the connection during writing. A failure may cause data loss and require ECU recovery.
Changes may affect safety, emissions, road approval, insurance and warranties. Use features lawfully and without distracting from driving. If an operation fails, follow recovery instructions or contact support.
7. Support and updates
Support is available at the email above. The company provides updates, including necessary security fixes, to the extent and for the period required by the contract and law. Install necessary updates. Maintenance may cause temporary interruptions; service changes do not remove obligations concerning purchased features or consumer rights.
8. Liability and disputes
Users are responsible for lawful use and following instructions; company liability is governed by applicable law. These terms do not restrict mandatory consumer rights, including remedies for defective digital products.
Send complaints by email or to the registered address, identifying the issue and order. Consumer complaints receive a response within the statutory period, normally 15 working days, subject to lawful extensions. Unresolved disputes may be referred to PTAC, a competent alternative dispute resolution body or a court.
Latvian law applies without removing mandatory protection in the consumer's country of residence. A revised edition does not automatically change previous purchase terms; material changes are communicated as required.
